He was the first champion of the "ASALATO FREE STYLE BATTLE" one of the events of "ASALATO NIGHT" an annual gathering of asarato freaks from all over Japan.
He also won the 2nd and 3rd ASALATO BATTLEs held afterwards, achieving three consecutive championships.
After that, he embarked on a long trip around the world to deepen his own asarato performance and to spread the new instrument, the asarato, around the world.
Over the course of two years, he gave live performances and workshops in all 26 countries he visited. With the experience of being exposed to music and instruments from all over the world, he is now based in Kansai, Japan, and gives asarato performances and workshops in Japan and abroad.
Once a year, he travels to Senegal, the birthplace of the asarato, to personally select and purchase asaratos to create original asaratos. He sells his asarat through his online store "Mobile Tribe".
