Note: this example notates flip-flop delay with heli instead of grab, as there is no notation for "grab" in this notation system.
Within the description for the notation system, it refers to the free gourd as the "pendular ball/unheld ball", and the held gourd as the "pivotal ball/ball held in hand".

The program notes located in the front of the score for Hanamachi Gimmick read as follows:
Hanamachi Gimmick for percussion was commissioned by Sumire Yoshihara, and was first performed by the commissioner in Tokyo on November 25, 2010.
In 2018, this piece was revised by the composer herself. The revised version was premiered by Sumire Yoshihara in Tokyo on November 7, 2018.
The instrumentation is as follows:

The "Shoes with Nakibue" is indicated within the score that the player should tape toy squeakers on the soles of their shoes, to create squeaking sounds as the player walks.
