Use a vertical motion to get a shake sound both up and down as the shake filling strikes the inside of the gourds. When done in flip position, can do open or close shake.
A vertical motion perpendicular to the ground creates a clear, articulate sound.
When in flop position, hold the asalato parallel to the ground for the best sound.
