In flip position, use the thumb finger to click together the two gourds in the hand.
A thumb click will necessarily be quieter than a regular click, and can sound very quiet and unsupported when first learning the technique.
However, through practice, the muscles in the hand can be developed to increase the clarity of the thumb click sound.
Can play a "drumroll" through alternating hands.
Can be used as a substitution for a normal click. Can be used immediately after a click to play a diddle instead of a singular regular click.
